You are likely to hear music representing Africa's ancient indigenous past, to music made by modern Africans throughout the diaspora, and their influence all over the world. A feeling of profound awe and respect will overwhelm you. Not all the artists are of African descent, but the respect and admiration is noted. Africans invented music, that inspired many imitations.

 

Africans has brought to the world the complex polyrhythms and tonalities of Africa, its descendant's has created the world's most mesmerizing music. African influences predominate the world stage.

Just as Ragtime, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Rock and Roll and other African descendant's musical idioms and forms entered mainstream culture, today these African descendants latest creation is Hip Hop culture and music, and its distinctive sound of Rap music, which has become an important form of music and cultural style throughout the world.

 

Their music have great poetic styling and songs to express their happiness and sorrow. There are instruments that appear most prominently in indigenous ancient African wall images.

 

There are pipes resembling the clarinet, end-blown flutes, rattles, castenets, clappers, different types of drums and tambourines, the oud, lyre, and also the harp. There are pictures found depicting dancers, singers, harpist and flutists. Yet for many people, the term "African Music," still evokes the image of drums. It is true that drums and percussion instruments of enormous variety play an important part in the musicscape of the African continent. But if one were to judge importance by sheer quantity, without a doubt the most important instrument would be the voice.

 

 

We all need African music to stimulate energy, ideals, and breathe life into our daily existence.
