Jamie Anderson, who was born in the Chicago Suburbs, was surrounded by a family interested in wearing and collecting jewelry. Her interest in making jewelry evolved from these roots and so she began to design jewelry with her unique style...weaving wire into sculptural forms around gemstones.
Jamie's jewelry can be defined more as wearable art rather than mere jewelry. Her intricate fine weaving with Copper and Silver wire create a cradle for black onyx or a jasper gemstone to cite a few samples. These can be worn on a black leather cord with a handmade clasp. Her work is always creative and evolving and with these materials she has woven a wonderful world of wearable sculptural art.
These pieces of jewelry art rarely hang around her home and find new homes as quickly as she can make them.
Jamie lives with her husband, Brian, her daughter, Destiny 11, and her son, Xavier 6 (who has Autism). Jamie is a rising star in the art world.
